Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Draft: company and grievance officer details below are placeholders and will be updated.
1. Who we are
ParkSafe Safety Solutions Private Limited ("ParkSafe", "we", "us") provides emergency QR stickers and emergency profiles. This policy explains how we handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
2. Information we collect
Details you give us when activating a QR (only the emergency contact is required):
- Name, address, mobile number and blood group
- Wife and up to two children: names and blood groups
- Mediclaim status, company name and policy number
- Emergency person name and contact number
- Your acceptance of the goodwill disclaimer, with date, time and IP address
Payment information: payment ID, amount, status and method from Razorpay. We never receive or store your full card, UPI PIN or bank login details.
Scan information: when a QR is scanned we record the date and time, IP address, approximate city, device and browser type. If the person scanning allows it, we also record their device location to share with the rider's family.
3. How we use it
- To show your emergency profile when your QR is scanned
- To connect callers to your emergency contact
- To verify payments, activate your QR and issue invoices
- To alert you or your family about scans, where available
- To handle support requests, corrections and goodwill assistance requests
- To prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. What is visible on a scan
Anyone who scans an active QR can see the details you chose to provide: name, blood group, address, family names and blood groups, mediclaim details and vehicle number.
Emergency contact phone numbers are hidden. The caller taps a call button and our server connects them, so the number is not printed on the page.
Leave optional fields blank if you do not want them to be visible.
6. How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, role-based admin permissions, signed call links that expire, rate limiting on scans, and regular backups. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach as required by law.
7. How long we keep it
- Emergency profile: while your QR is active, and up to 12 months after deactivation
- Payment and invoice records: 8 years, as required by tax laws
- Scan logs: up to 24 months
After these periods, data is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update inaccurate details (profiles are read-only for customers, so changes are made by ParkSafe admin after verification);
- delete your data and deactivate your QR;
- withdraw consent (this will deactivate your emergency profile);
- nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to.
Email privacy@parksafe.in from your registered details. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children's information
Children's names and blood groups are collected only when a parent or guardian adds them to their own profile, for use in an emergency. We do not knowingly create profiles for children directly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its updated date. For significant changes, we will notify registered users where possible.
